Zambia’s forests are declining at an alarming rate. The poor population cut down trees in order to sustain their families.
Local conservationists have taken up the role of replenishing the forests.
Lloyd Maanyina, a former charcoal burner, confesses to contributing greatly to deforestation. He’s a reformed conservationist and he’s now working hard to plant trees by himself and alongside environmental organizations. He considers this, his payback to nature.
